Mr. Charlie "Cat" Catalano
Mr. Charlie “Cat” Catalano is a long-time music educator; specifically he was Bert's band director at Destrehan High School in the 1980s. Mr. Cat is a highly respected musician and plays his saxophone and clarinet in a variety of ensembles in and around New Orleans.
One of those ensembles is his own NEW ORLEANS RIVERSIDE JAZZ BAND. Mr. Cat graciously contributed their version of “Just a Closer Walk With Thee” to Bert's Kickstarter project. Now, you can download it here FOR FREE! Enjoy it anytime your ears need a little “taste” of New Orleans!
